EN: OVERVIEW
PRAK Podomoro is a display typeface inspired by the hand-cut sticker signage found on street food carts at Beringharjo Market, Yogyakarta. The imperfect cuts, uneven angles, and spontaneous forms of these signs create a distinctive human character that feels familiar and authentic. Rather than seeing these imperfections as flaws, PRAK Podomoro embraces them as the essence of its visual identity.

EN: CONTEXT & PROBLEM
In an era where AI and digital tools are increasingly shaping the design process, the handmade quality of street signage offers a reminder of the human touch behind design. PRAK Podomoro takes the distinctive cutting angles found in manually cut stickers and develops them into a consistent typeface from A–Z. Through this approach, PRAK Podomoro aims to preserve the raw and human character of vernacular signage while bringing it into a contemporary typographic form.
